Vessel WelderWe are seeking skilled vessel welders to join our team. The role involves welding on storage tanks, spheres, and water towers of varying sizes from 23ft to 43ft. As a welder, you will primarily use stick and flux core techniques to weld vessels and components, with an emphasis on carbon steel up to 3 inches thick. You should be proficient in back gouging for 100% x-ray welds.Essential Skills3+ years of experience as a vessel welder.Ability to pass 2G and 3G weld tests and perform back gouging.Proficiency in flux core and stick welding.Experience with vessel components.Work EnvironmentYou will work in a large, non-climate-controlled shop where safety is a top priority due to the presence of heavy equipment. Day shifts run from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, with Saturdays as needed.Job Type & LocationThis is a contract to hire position based out of Houston, TX 77064.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $27.50 - $31.50/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
