Family Law Attorney

Job Overview A law firm seeks an experienced Family Law Attorney in West Jordan, Utah. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of active practice experience and be ready to manage a full caseload while providing exceptional client service. This role offers the opportunity to integrate into a supportive team environment with modern resources and infrastructure. Duties Manage a full caseload of family law matters from intake through final resolution. Represent clients in divorce, custody, parent-time, child support, alimony, paternity, protective order, adoption, and post-decree modification matters. Develop legal strategy and provide practical, client-focused legal advice. Prepare and draft pleadings, motions, discovery, legal memoranda, settlement agreements, and other legal documents. Conduct legal research and remain current on developments in Utah family law. Prepare for and represent clients during mediations, settlement conferences, evidentiary hearings, and trials. Negotiate favorable resolutions while effectively advocating for clients when litigation is necessary. Proactively move cases forward while maintaining regular communication with clients, opposing counsel, and the court. Meet or exceed a monthly billing expectation of 133 billable hours while maintaining exceptional client service. Requirements Active Utah Bar membership in good standing. Minimum of two years of active family law practice experience. Demonstrated ability to independently manage a family law caseload. Strong litigation, negotiation, and courtroom advocacy skills. Excellent legal research and writing abilities. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Highly organized with the ability to effectively manage multiple deadlines and competing priorities. Commitment to providing outstanding client service and maintaining professionalism under pressure. Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Certifications Utah Bar membership in good standing. Skills Strong litigation and negotiation skills.
