Youth Care Specialist - Transitional LivingSalary Range $17.00 - $21.00 Hourly Position Type Full TimeDescriptionWe are seeking a Youth Care Specialist – Transitional Living to join our team. Hourly Rate: $17.00 - $21.00Schedules Available:Missouri Full-time Shift: Monday – Friday: 3:00 pm – 11:00 pmFull-time Shift: Friday: 7:00 am – 5:00 pm, Saturday – Sunday: 11:00am – 11:00 pmPart-time Shift: Saturday – Sunday: 11:00 pm – 7:00 amKansas Full-time Shift: Monday – Thursday: 10:00 pm – 8:00 amThis role oversees clients in daily activities while teaching new skills, ensuring safety, and managing behaviors. Plan activities, reinforce treatment plans and document all client-related information. You will work with other team members and report to the Program Manager Pathways.What You Will Do:Responsible for direct supervision and safety of all clients.Responsible for proper behavior management of children through the use of behavior management techniques.Build healthy relationships with clients and be a role model of healthy behaviorsHave a working knowledge of the child's treatment plan and objectives and structures activities to support that plan.Responsible for creatively structuring activities for groups and conducting psycho-educational groups.May be responsible for medication administration and other medical support.Responsible for teaching, guiding, and assisting the client in daily life skills as appropriate for age.Provide 24-hour awake supervision.Ability to manage clients courteously and tactfully while on agency property.Responsible for the above essential duties.May require transporting youth to events, meetings, appointments and/or activitiesMay attend court hearings, family support team and school meetings.May interview and make a recommendation in the hiring process.May assign job duties, train staff, and ensure adequate coverage.Other duties as assigned.What You Will Bring:Our ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience working with children and the following:High school diploma, required.Bachelor's degree in social services, child development, or criminal justice, preferred.At least 21 years of age and pass background check, physical, and drug screeningA valid driver's license in the state you reside in, proof of current vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation.Who We AreCornerstones of Care is a mental and behavioral health nonprofit certified in trauma-informed care that provides evidence-based prevention, intervention, treatment, and support services to help children and families improve their safety and health by making positive changes in their lives.
