This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Sales Team Leader based in India.

This is a fully remote leadership opportunity for an experienced sales professional ready to lead, coach, and develop a high-performing commercial team. You'll take ownership of revenue and conversion performance while helping sales representatives consistently reach ambitious targets. The role combines hands-on sales expertise with data-driven performance management, coaching, and sales strategy optimization. You'll analyze pipelines and key metrics, identify performance gaps, and implement practical solutions to improve results. You'll also establish strong operating rhythms for a distributed team and foster a culture of accountability, learning, and continuous improvement. Accountabilities:

• Lead, motivate, and support a sales team in consistently achieving and exceeding revenue and conversion targets.
• Establish clear individual and team goals, expectations, performance standards, and operating rhythms.
• Monitor sales activity, conversion rates, follow-up effectiveness, pipeline health, and overall revenue performance.
• Identify performance gaps and introduce targeted improvement plans to address individual and team challenges.
• Lead by example by maintaining strong sales capabilities and demonstrating effective prospecting, qualification, objection-handling, follow-up, and closing techniques.
• Coach sales representatives on communication, prospecting, objection handling, follow-up strategies, and closing.
• Conduct regular one-on-ones, performance reviews, team meetings, and coaching sessions.
• Develop and improve sales training programs, scripts, messaging, and best practices.
• Use sales data and performance metrics to identify trends, bottlenecks, and opportunities for optimization.
• Test and refine sales approaches, engagement strategies, processes, and conversion techniques.
• Use customer and prospect feedback to improve sales strategies and address recurring commercial challenges.
• Establish effective communication and collaboration practices for a fully remote team working across locations and cultures.
• Maintain clear documentation, productive meetings, accountability, and alignment with broader business objectives.

Requirements:

• 6+ years of experience in sales, business development, telesales, inside sales, or a related commercial function.
• Proven history of consistently achieving or exceeding sales targets and revenue objectives.
• Previous experience leading, coaching, mentoring, or supervising sales professionals.
• Strong understanding of the complete sales cycle, including prospecting, qualification, follow-up, objection handling, and closing.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze sales data and metrics, identify performance issues, and implement effective solutions.
• Strong coaching, motivational, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to adapt your approach to different types of sales professionals.
• Ability to develop creative sales scripts, messaging, engagement approaches, and conversion strategies.
• Excellent written and spoken English with strong communication and presentation skills.
• Comfortable using Google Workspace, Microsoft Windows, spreadsheets, dashboards, and digital sales tools.
• Ability to create, analyze, and interpret spreadsheets, reports, charts, and sales performance dashboards.
• Highly organized, punctual, self-directed, and capable of running structured and productive remote meetings.
• Comfortable collaborating with international teams and working effectively across different cultures and time zones.
• Open to feedback, coaching, experimentation, and continuous professional improvement.
