Utility Associate - BSS

Position Summary The Utility Associate will perform custodial and waste (cardboard, plastic, trash) disposal within the facility. Position Responsibilities – Essential Clean and service restrooms Sweep, vacuum, and mop floors and stairways Dust such items as blinds, furniture, file cabinets, and windowsills using treated dust mittens, cloths, or hand‑cleaning items Scrub, strip, sanitize, wax, and buff floors Polish furniture, metal work, and chrome using appropriate cleaning and polishing compounds. Maintain an inventory of cleaning and toiletry supplies Wash walls, ceilings, woodwork, windows, mirrors, and fixtures using both step and extension ladders Shampoo carpets Determine appropriate cleaning materials, supplies, tools, and equipment needed to accomplish job Bale scrap cardboard (Remove cardboard from transportation cart, bale cardboard, load bale into trailer using pallet jack Compact trash (remove trash from transportation cart, place down trash chute, operate compactor) Ensure all safety procedures, practices, and regulations are followed before, during, and after the process to foster a positive safety culture by having a safety‑first mindset and approach during execution of activities Based on the nature of the essential functions associated with this role, GreenWood has designated this as a “safety‑sensitive” position.
