Software Engineer IIIWe are seeking a talentedindividualwho will focus on building scalable, accessible, and high-performing user-friendly web applications in modern web development technologies. The ideal candidate should possess expertise and hands-on experience onNode.js, GoLang, React, TypeScript, GraphQL along with strong knowledge onAWS (Lambda, AppSync) and DevOps principles. The ideal candidate should also possess knowledge on AI with hands-on-experience on using AI-Powered IDEs such as Cursor.This role aligns to industry level titles such as Senior Software Engineer, Backend Engineer III, Senior Application Engineer.Key Responsibilities:Develop, maintain, and enhance frontend applications usingNode, TypeScript and React.Develop and integrate composition layer APIs usingGraphQL and AWS AppSync.Work onNode.jsmodules to build the composition layer component.Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and user experience.Ensure best practices inCI/CD pipelinesfor continuous deployment and integration.Implement secure and scalable solutions leveragingAWS services.Maintain code quality using version control systems likeGit.Troubleshoot and debug applications as needed.Work in an agile team environment and participate in code reviews.Ensure web applications are accessible and comply with accessibility standards (WCAG, ARIA, etc.).Required Experience and Skills:A minimum experience of 4 years in hands-on-development.Strong experience inNode.js, React and TypeScript.Experience working withAWS, particularlyAWS AppSync/Lambda.Strong knowledge ofGraphQLfor API development and integration.Experience working with AI-Powered IDEs such as Cursor.Familiarity withCI/CD pipelinesand deployment automation.Experience withGitfor version control.Understanding of performance optimization and front-end best practices.Understanding of microservices architecture and serverless technologies.Experience in implementing accessibility best practices and ensuring compliance with accessibility standards.Ability to learn fast, work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Nice to Have:Knowledge of UI/UX principles and design systemsCompensation at Pearson is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific location. As required by the California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York State, New York City, Vermont, Washington State, and Washington DC laws, the pay range for this position is as follows: The minimum full-time salary range is between $100,000 - $130,000.
