About the Position

Job Title: CT Technologist Profession: CT Technologist Specialty: MSBI Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Minimum of 3 years in CT License: Client License (L.R.T) Certifications: ARRT certification in Radiography and CT, BLS certification Must-Have: 3 years of experience in CT; ARRT certification in Radiography and CT Description: Requires the utilization of appropriate kV and mA techniques to ensure quality diagnostic CT images. Performs daily quality control calibration checks on all equipment to ensure the equipment is calibrated and functioning properly before any patient study is performed. Injects patients with radioactive material as per the physician's order, following the prescribed protocol. Observes all department documentation policies by completing all appropriate logs, manuals, and charge documents, and reporting equipment problems to comply with regulatory agencies. Performs quality control, quality assurance, and safety tests. Follows radiation safety guidelines to comply with the ALARA principle. Maintains, develops, and retrieves patient films and electronic data for interpretation. Orders patient-specific radiopharmaceutical doses one day prior to use. Receives radiopharmaceutical on the day of delivery and verifies proper receipt as per policy and procedure. Verifies activity level of the dose prior to administration. Exercises appropriate judgment to assess and respond to patients’ needs before, during, and after visits in the Radiology department.
