Director - Assistant Global Controller

Danaher seeks a Director of Assistant Global Controller to lead financial close, consolidation, and reporting processes across global operations. The role ensures compliance with U.S. GAAP and SOX requirements while partnering with regional finance teams and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Based in Marlborough, MA, this position reports to the Global Corporate Controller and requires 12+ years of finance experience with an advanced degree, or 14+ years with a bachelor's degree.

Responsibilities

• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close and consolidation processes globally
• Review consolidated financial statements, reconciliations, and investigate significant accounting issues
• Partner with regional finance teams to maintain SOX-compliant control framework and risk assessments
• Research complex accounting matters, prepare accounting position papers, and advise business partners
• Drive standardization and automation projects to improve efficiency and scalability of financial processes

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business administration with 14+ years experience, or advanced degree with 12+ years experience
• 4+ years managing people in accounting and finance roles
• Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting, consolidations, and internal controls
• Demonstrated leadership of cross-functional, geographically dispersed teams
• Extensive SOX compliance, audit coordination, and corporate governance experience
• Proficiency with global ERP systems, consolidation tools, and data analytics
• CPA certification strongly preferred

Compensation: $160,000 - $180,000 base, plus eligible bonus/incentive pay
