Job Title: Senior Accounts Payable Specialist


Location: Cypress, TX


Compensation: $30.00 - $31.25 per hour

Job Summary


We are seeking an experienced Senior Accounts Payable Specialist to join our client's team in Cypress. This role will be responsible for managing the full-cycle accounts payable process, ensuring accurate and timely invoice processing, performing reconciliations, and serving as a key resource for resolving complex vendor and payment issues. The ideal candidate will have strong NetSuite experience, thrive in a high-volume environment, and possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.


Key Responsibilities


Accounts Payable Operations

• Manage the full-cycle accounts payable process, ensuring invoices are processed accurately and on time.
• Review invoices for proper coding, approvals, and supporting documentation.
• Perform three-way matching of purchase orders, receipts, and invoices when applicable.
• Process vendor payments through checks, ACH, and wire transfers.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and internal controls throughout the AP process.

Vendor Management & Reconciliations

• Perform vendor statement reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Research and resolve complex invoice, payment, and vendor issues.
• Respond to vendor inquiries while maintaining strong business relationships.
• Reconcile accounts payable balances and support month-end close activities.
• Assist with AP accruals and ensure accurate financial reporting.

Analysis & Process Improvement

• Utilize NetSuite to manage accounts payable transactions and reporting.
• Analyze AP data to identify discrepancies and recommend process improvements.
• Prepare reports and support internal and external audits.
• Collaborate with Purchasing, Accounting, and Operations to improve workflow efficiency.
• Assist with special projects and provide support to the Accounting team as needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive Accounts Payable experience required.
• NetSuite experience is required.
• Full-cycle accounts payable experience required.
• Strong vendor reconciliation and account reconciliation experience.
• Experience processing high-volume invoices.
• Three-way matching experience preferred.
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables and VLOOKUPs, preferred.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
