Cybersecurity Engineer

Cybersecurity Engineer Location: Houston, TX Job Description: The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the security and compliance of our operational technology infrastructure. This role involves supporting the deployment and implementation of various systems and solutions, including SQL, IIS & ESXI Servers, Palo Alto Firewalls, and Cisco Switches and Routers. The OT Engineer will also be responsible for deploying multi-factor authentication for secure remote access, implementing Tenable.OT to scan a large number of devices, and supporting the deployment of the PCN asset inventory management solution Axonius. Responsibilities: Support the deployment and implementation of hardening and compliance rules to SQL, IIS & ESXI Servers, Firewalls, and Routers. Deploy multi-factor authentication to enable secure remote access for remaining PCN remote access users. Implement and deploy Tenable.OT to scan approximately 3000+ devices. Assist with pre-work, deployment, and implementation of the PCN asset inventory management solution, Axonius. Ensure compliance with security standards and best practices. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals. Provide technical support and troubleshooting for operational technology systems. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Minimum 5 years relevant experience Proven experience deploying and managing Active Directory, SQL, IIS, ESXi, and Windows Servers as well as Palo Alto Firewalls, and Cisco Routers, and Switches in a PCN or OT environment. Experience with multi-factor authentication deployment and management. Familiarity with Tenable.OT and its implementation. Knowledge of PCN asset inventory management solutions, particularly Axonius. Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Desired Skills: Certification in relevant technologies (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH). Experience in the energy or utilities sector. Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements (e.g., NERC CIP, ISO 27001). Proficiency in scripting and automation tools. Familiarity with network security and monitoring tools.
