An Instrumentation Technician is required to support the maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial instrumentation and control systems within water treatment operations in the Milwaukee area. This role is suited to an electronics or instrumentation professional with experience working with process controls, digital and analogue electronics, and industrial measurement systems.
The Instrumentation Technician will work on a variety of process instrumentation and control equipment, supporting reliable plant operations through preventative maintenance, system improvements, diagnostics, and technical problem-solving.

The Instrumentation Technician Role:
- Install, maintain, calibrate, troubleshoot, repair, modify, and overhaul instrumentation systems
- Maintain process instruments and control systems used to measure and control variables including pressure, flow, temperature, motion, force, and chemical composition
- Support computer and microprocessor-based systems associated with treatment plant operations
- Use test equipment including multimeters and calibration equipment to diagnose and maintain equipment
- Read and interpret schematics, process and instrumentation drawings, and technical documentation
- Configure control systems logic, user interfaces, and tune control loops on systems including PLCs and DCS platforms
- Work with external engineers and vendors to install, test, and modify new and existing control systems
- Maintain equipment records and update operating and maintenance documentation
Instrumentation Technician Requirements:
- Associate Degree in Electronics Technology from an accredited technical college or demonstrated equivalent ability
- One to three years of experience in electronics technology or a related field
- Knowledge of advanced digital and analogue electronics principles and practices
- Ability to read schematics and process instrumentation drawings
- Experience using calibration equipment and diagnosing equipment faults
- Ability to solder and de-solder components without damaging materials
- Valid Wisconsin Driver’s License required
- Willingness to participate in required safety training activities
- Ability to work in environments involving confined spaces, hazardous gases, heights, noise, dust, and other industrial conditions
