Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for an assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process; assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
- Monitor patient status, interpret vital signs, administer medications per orders, and document in the electronic health record; respond promptly to changes in condition.
- Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff; coordinate care with physicians, therapists, and other disciplines while maintaining patient safety.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure smooth patient flow, accurate handoffs, and continuity of care across shifts.
- Provide patient and family education on treatment plans, discharge instructions, and safety considerations; document education provided.
- Triage initial assessments and identify high-acuity patients, initiating appropriate rapid response measures and escalating to the physician as needed.

Requirements
- Active California RN license in good standing (or ability to obtain prior to start)
- Emergency Department nursing experience preferred
- BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred or required per assignment policy
- Ability to work day shifts, 12-hour shifts, and 36 hours per week in a fast-paced setting
- Strong critical thinking, clinical judgment, and communication skills
- Ability to travel and adapt to new teams and rapidly changing care environments
