Pharmacy Technician Duties
Receive and review prescriptions to determine the correct substance, dosage, and quantity to be dispensed.
Enter prescription information into a computer system, checking patient profiles for allergies and drug interactions.
Filing prescriptions by obtaining the correct pharmaceutical, preparing labels, and verifying the medication against the order.
Provide instructions to patients on the proper use of their medications and refer complex questions to a pharmacist.
Work alongside other technicians and pharmacists to ensure efficient patient care and customer service.
