Job Summary and Qualifications The role is a registered nurse (RN) responsible for coordinating and delivering high quality, patient-centered care for trauma patients. The RN provides pre-operative and post-operative nursing care, advocates for patients, and supports a positive patient experience in collaboration with medical providers. Responsibilities Demonstrate knowledge of human growth and development and assessment across age groups. Promote customer service initiatives and the Skyline Medical Center Service Values. Perform patient documentation in a timely and thorough manner. Utilize the Nursing Process for individualized patient care. Perform technical skills and procedures as required. Promote compliance with National Patient Safety Goals. Assess patient condition during admission and each shift, identifying and reporting changes in status. Perform procedures or other functions as ordered by the medical provider. Document administration of care in the patient medical record. Administer prescribed medications and monitor patient response. Maintain knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment used in cardiac and medical-surgical patient care. Qualifications Current Registered Nurse license in Tennessee or an appropriate compact state. Effective communication skills. Education: ASN or BSN preferred.
