Description Meat clerks are responsible for keeping the pre-packaged meat section well stocked and orderly in appearance. Meat clerks will order and unload product, stock shelves and build displays as required. Meat clerks will maintain a clean work area, follow all safety rules and perform other tasks as assigned. Other tasks to be performed may be in a meat prep area. They must be familiar with store products and their locations in order to assist customers. Qualifications Must be 18 years of age. Previous experience in a meat department or similar role is advantageous. Knowledge of meat cuts, preparation techniques, and safety procedures helpful. Strong customer service and communication skills. Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry heavy items (up to 50 pounds). Ability to stand for extended periods.
