Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.***Responsibilities:**Oversees and directs the development, planning, implementation, maintenance and transition of specific information systems and services. Oversees the design and installation of the systems and directs the operation and maintenance. Responsible for the planning, budgeting, rates, staff development and supervision as appropriate.**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS*** Assists with setting the strategic direction for information strategy, systems, and services. Oversees and directs specific information systems and services in support of University business continuity and day-to-day operations.* Organizes and directs the activities of the department. Hires, disciplines, and/or discharges subordinates. Evaluates performances, recommends salary adjustments, and initiates other personnel actions. Plans and implements training programs.* Establishes policies and procedures or IT systems and services. Employs technical and administrative expertise in the development of specifications for information systems and services in support of University of Rochester objectives.* Keeps abreast of trends and technical developments in the field by self-study, participating in job-related seminars, courses, or conferences and liaison with vendors.
