PCU/Stepdown Nurse (RN) | Adairsville, Georgia

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct patient care in a stepdown or progressive care unit, including monitoring and assessing complex conditions.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to execute individualized patient care plans.
• Recognize and respond rapidly to changes in patient status or emergencies.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments while adhering to safety protocols.
• Document assessments, interventions, and progress accurately in electronic health records.
• Provide emotional support and education to patients and families regarding ongoing care needs.
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives and continuing education.

Desired Qualifications:

• Active RN license with good standing.
• Demonstrated experience in Stepdown or Progressive Care (PCU) settings preferred.
• Advanced assessment and critical thinking skills.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork abilities.
• Adaptability to changing patient needs and fast-paced environments.
