Position Overview As a Veterinary Assistant, you'll play an integral role in supporting our veterinarians and technicians, ensuring that our patients receive the best care possible. From assisting with exams to maintaining a clean and safe environment, your daily work will have a direct impact on the health and happiness of the pets we treat. Key Responsibilities Provide Compassionate Care: Assist in the care of hospitalized pets, ensuring their comfort and well‑being. Support Veterinary Procedures: Help with restraining pets for exams, assist in taking x‑rays, and collect necessary samples. Maintain a Clean and Safe Environment: Keep exam rooms, treatment areas, and the rest of the hospital spotless, creating a safe space for both patients and team members. Monitor Patients: Observe and record physical signs of hospitalized pets, ensuring any changes are reported for timely care. Organize and Stock Supplies: Keep the hospital and reception areas well‑stocked with necessary supplies and materials. Other Tasks as Needed: Be ready to support your teammates with any additional duties that arise. What We’re Looking For Experience: At least 1 year of experience as a veterinary assistant or in a related role is highly preferred. Passion for Animals: You must genuinely care about the well‑being of pets and be committed to providing them with the best care possible. Physical Stamina: The ability to lift up to 50 lbs and walk large dogs (up to 130 lbs).
