We are seeking a dedicated Precast Concrete Laborer to join our construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting with the manufacturing, handling, and installation of precast concrete elements used in various building projects. Your work will contribute to the efficient production and safe placement of precast components, supporting the overall progress and quality of construction operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong physical stamina, a solid understanding of construction practices, and a commitment to safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the fabrication and assembly of precast concrete components according to detailed blueprints and specifications.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely to cut, shape, and position concrete forms.
• Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and construction plans to ensure accurate construction of formwork and placement.
• Perform concrete pouring, finishing, and surface treatments to meet quality standards.
• Install rebar reinforcement and assist with formwork construction to prepare for concrete casting.
• Handle heavy lifting tasks safely while adhering to workplace safety regulations.
• Support the installation of rebar, metal studs, and other structural elements on-site.
• Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and materials regularly.
• Follow all safety protocols diligently to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with OSHA standards.
• Collaborate with team members on various construction projects including restoration, renovation, or new builds.

Skills

• Mechanical knowledge related to construction tools and equipment operation.
• Construction estimating skills for understanding project scope and material needs.
• Experience with hardscape installation, masonry, or roofing is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, concrete mixers, and concrete cutting equipment.
• Knowledge of concrete forming techniques and formwork construction.
• Familiarity with construction workplace safety regulations and protocols.
• Experience in rebar installation, concrete pouring, finishing techniques, and concrete pumping.
• Skilled in using scaffolding, heavy lifting equipment, and commercial driving when necessary.
• Understanding of blueprint specification interpretation for precise execution of tasks.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely during material handling processes.
• Basic carpentry skills including trim carpentry and framing are advantageous.
• Knowledge of plastering, stucco application, caulking, tile laying, flooring installation, and metal stud framing enhances versatility.
• Experience working on diverse construction sites including restoration or renovation projects.
