Industrial Piping Systems Fitter
Location: Mt. Pleasant, TX, 75455
A day in the roleYou start your morning reviewing plans and confirming materials. By mid-day, you’re laying out runs, measuring precisely, and fabricating sections that fit the first time. In the afternoon, you’re pressure-testing lines, documenting your results, and coordinating with electricians and welders to bring a system online safely and on schedule. Every step is grounded in codes, specs, and a commitment to quality craftsmanship.
Core responsibilities- Install, repair, and maintain process and mechanical piping systems in alignment with specifications and applicable codes.
- Interpret blueprints, drawings, and schematics to plan layouts and sequencing.
- Measure, cut, prep, and assemble piping using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Inspect and test completed work for leaks, performance, and compliance.
- Coordinate tasks with other trades to ensure seamless project execution.
- Keep the workspace orderly and operate with rigorous safety practices.
- Document completed work and promptly elevate issues to the supervisor.
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training is a plus.
- Demonstrated experience as a pipefitter or in closely related piping work.
- Solid understanding of piping materials, components, and installation methods.
- Proficiency reading and interpreting technical documents and blueprints.
- Sharp problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
- Clear communicator and dependable team collaborator.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a background check.
