Work Environment

This position is located onsite at our hospital-based rehabilitation center in Memphis, TN. Working hours are typically Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional flexibility needed to accommodate patient schedules and clinic operations. As part of an interdisciplinary team, you will work alongside Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech-Language Pathologists, and other healthcare professionals, promoting coordinated care and optimal patient outcomes. Key Responsibilities

• Assist Physical Therapists in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans that focus on enhancing patients' mobility, strength, and functional abilities.
• Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, utilizing techniques designed to alleviate pain and improve physical wellness.
• Educate patients on core principles of body mechanics and safe exercise practices, empowering them to manage their rehabilitation at home.
• Administer therapeutic modalities, including electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and heat/cold therapy, under the supervision of the Physical Therapist.
• Monitor patient progress meticulously and document changes in mobility, strength, and overall function to inform treatment adjustments.
• Maintain a tidy and organized treatment environment, ensuring that all equipment and therapy supplies are prepared and accessible.
• Engage in collaborative care, sharing insights and updates with the healthcare team to optimize patient treatment strategies.
• Support patients emotionally, fostering a positive atmosphere that encourages motivation and resilience throughout their recovery journeys.
• Uphold ethical standards and comply with patient confidentiality policies, ensuring the respectful treatment of all individuals.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field is required.
• Valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 50,000 to USD 65,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
