Maintenance Technician II The Maintenance Technician II is responsible for performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and installation of manufacturing, processing, and facility equipment in a GMP-regulated environment. Located in Pensacola, Florida, this role supports production operations by maintaining equipment reliability and minimizing downtime. The technician will work on a variety of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and automated systems and may serve as a team lead in the absence of the GMP Maintenance Supervisor. Job Responsibilities Perform routine, preventative, and corrective maintenance on manufacturing and production equipment. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and electronic equipment used in manufacturing operations. Maintain and repair processing equipment including conveyors, tablet presses, counters, inserters, labelers, metal detectors, descramblers, cappers, blenders, sifters, pumps, mixers, fillers, and related systems. Install and maintain electrical conduit, wiring, switches, disconnects, motor starters, VFDs, and PLCs. Install, troubleshoot, and maintain pneumatic systems, including regulators, solenoids, controllers, switches, and cylinders. Diagnose equipment issues using testing and diagnostic tools. Read and interpret equipment manuals, schematics, diagrams, blueprints, and technical documentation. Collaborate with manufacturing, vendors, and technical support teams to resolve equipment issues efficiently. Assist with facility improvements, equipment upgrades, and installation of new machinery. Support maintenance activities for utility systems such as RO/DI water, compressed air systems, laboratory equipment, and stability chambers. Ensure all maintenance activities comply with GMP, safety, and company standards. Serve as team lead during the absence of the GMP Maintenance Supervisor. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Vocational or technical training in electronics, electrical systems, industrial controls, maintenance technology, or related field preferred. Experience troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and electronic manufacturing equipment. Experience working in a manufacturing, pharmaceutical, food production, or GMP-regulated environment preferred. Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills. Ability to read and interpret electrical, pneumatic, architectural, and technical drawings. Knowledge of PLCs, VFDs, electrical controls, and industrial automation systems. Familiarity with GMP regulations and maintenance documentation practices. Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple maintenance tasks. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
