Technical Program Manager

Our client , a leader in Financial and Tax Software, is looking for someone to join their team as a Technical Program Manager in San Diego, CA! This is a W2 contract budgeted until July 19, 2027, with benefits offered! In this role, you'll partner with engineering, product, and business teams to develop program strategy, manage complex dependencies, and ensure successful delivery of key technical programs. You'll be responsible for aligning priorities, communicating progress to stakeholders, mitigating risks, and helping teams execute against strategic objectives. What You Will Be Doing Lead end-to-end planning and execution of complex technical programs from strategy through delivery. Align business, portfolio, and program goals while ensuring initiatives support broader organizational objectives. Prioritize workstreams, identify risks and trade-offs, and provide recommendations to stakeholders. Manage cross-functional dependencies across engineering, product, and business teams. Communicate program status, milestones, risks, and outcomes to technical and executive audiences. Develop scalable reporting structures and program governance aligned with Agile methodologies. Break large initiatives into manageable workstreams with clear ownership and accountability. Drive decision-making through data, risk assessments, and strategic recommendations. Build risk mitigation plans and gain stakeholder alignment to keep programs on track. Required Skills & Experience 8+ years of experience leading complex, enterprise-scale technical programs in a matrixed organization. Strong understanding of software development lifecycles, system architecture, and Agile delivery methodologies. Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams and senior leadership without direct authority. Excellent communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills. Data-driven approach to program management with experience using metrics to measure progress and guide decisions. Experience with data analytics or AI/ML concepts (Claude, Gemini) Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. PMP, Agile, or similar project/program management certifications are preferred. #J-18808-Ljbffr
