Job Title

Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry (Float Pool)

Location

Newport News, VA

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights (3x12 Hours, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Medical Surgical / Telemetry float pool setting
• Float to various units based on facility needs
• Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes using EPIC electronic health records
• Monitor telemetry and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Adhere to NIH and stroke education protocols as required for acute care settings

Required Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license in hand at time of submittal, or valid compact license with proof provided
• Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications through the American Heart Association (AHA)
• EPIC electronic health records experience required
• NIH stroke education completed or willingness to complete prior to start
• Minimum one year of Medical Surgical / Telemetry specialty experience within the last year
• One supervisory reference required at time of submittal

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a float pool or multi-unit acute care environment
• Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and interpretation
