TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified ER/Trauma RN in Alexandria, Virginia, 22304!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour night shifts Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Active RN license Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS required; TNCC preferred Must-Have: Experience in combined adult and pediatric emergency care Description: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications are required. TNCC certification is preferred. Candidate must have a minimum of 2 years of experience. Experience in both adult and pediatric emergency care is essential. Common diagnoses include STEMI, stroke, sprains, sutures, and high acuity patients. The emergency department does not have a separate pediatric area; pediatric patients are seen in all zones. Candidates will need availability for both 3 PM to 3 AM and 7 PM to 7 AM shifts. Ability to work night shifts is required. Candidates will administer routine drips, including vasopressors, insulin, and sedation. Staffing ratios are generally 4:1, but may stretch to 5:1 during peak census. Weekend commitment includes 6 shifts every 6 weeks. Navy blue scrubs are required. Epic access is needed for documentation and patient care. Candidates must float to other locations as needed. Holiday expectations include working major and minor holidays, including the 4th of July.
