Registered Nurse In Progressive Care Unit

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2 years required License: Active nursing license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Previous charge experience preferred Must be willing to accept holiday shifts and charge RN assignments as needed per unit. Weekend requirement: 8 weekend shifts in a 6-week schedule period, combination of Friday/Saturday/Sunday.

Description: This position offers an auto offer for a registered nurse in a progressive care unit. The nurse to patient ratio is 1:5. Candidates are required to have 2 years of experience. Previous charge and teaching hospital experience is preferred. First-time applicants are accepted. Necessary skills include cardiac telemetry, post-cardiac care, endocrine/metabolic management, and various IV therapies. Candidates should be proficient in emergency response and interpretation of dysrhythmias. Responsibilities include managing cardiac drips, PCA, and procedural sedation administration. The nurse will also handle tasks related to feeding tubes and tracheostomy management. Isolation precautions and wound care are essential components of the role. Flexibility to float within the facility as needed is required. Regular floating may occur between departments and units based on facility needs. Compliance with all facility training and documentation requirements is expected. The candidate must also adhere to any additional requests as outlined by the unit supervisor.
