Tax Manager/ Senior Tax Manager

There comes a point where progression isn't about another title, it's about influence. If you're capable of more ownership, more say, and more impact, but the structure above you feels static or overcrowded, this could be the step that changes things. The role

You'll take ownership of a varied and technically strong tax portfolio, covering closely held businesses, partnerships, individuals, and Trusts & Estates. The work is broad, but not basic. This is not just compliance. You'll be involved in planning, advisory, and long-term client strategy, trusted to run relationships properly, not just process returns. Clients are complex, established, and advisory-led. This is very much consultative accounting, not "mom and pop". The firm operates on a year-round, sustainable model rather than a three-month sprint followed by burnout. You're encouraged to think commercially, add value, and work closely with clients, without the pressure of being thrown straight into BD. You don't need to bring a book. The client base is strong and stable. That said, if you do introduce new relationships, you're rewarded properly:

• 15% of client revenue for life
• 9% profit-sharing contribution

This is a rare combination: stability and entrepreneurship. Leadership is younger, ambitious, and collaborative. Future peers. Decisions are made quickly. Good ideas are listened to. Independence is non-negotiable, and partnership or ownership is a genuine, structured outcome for the right person. Small by design. Sophisticated by nature.

What they're looking for

• Around 8+ years in public accounting, with strong review experience across closely held businesses and individual tax.
• CPA or EA
• Trust & Estate exposure is beneficial but not essential
