Talent Source is seeking skilled and experienced Marine Electricians to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment on marine vessels. If you have a strong background in marine electrical work and a commitment to quality, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and maintain electrical systems on various types of marine vessels.
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections of electrical equipment and systems.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues on marine vessels.
- Repair or replace faulty wiring, fixtures, and equipment as necessary.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Ensure compliance with maritime regulations and standards.
- Maintain accurate records of all electrical work performed.
- Prepare reports on electrical issues and repairs.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2-5 years of experience as a Marine Electrician.
- Extensive experience with marine electrical systems and equipment.
- Strong knowledge of marine electrical systems, including AC and DC circuits.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical blueprints and schematics.
- Relevant certifications or licenses in marine electrical work are preferred.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) as needed.
- Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights.
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Technical certification or associate degree in electrical engineering or a related field is preferred.
