Position: Dietitian

We are seeking a qualified Dietitian to join our team on a part-time basis. This position involves working 4 hours per day, 5 days a week, contributing a total of 20 hours per week. The Dietitian will collaborate with dietary services to ensure the delivery of a comprehensive nutrition care program that adheres to established standards.

Responsibilities:

• Act as a resource to dietary staff to enhance the nutrition care program.
• Identify patients at nutritional risk appropriately.
• Assess diet orders considering the patient's age and current health conditions.
• Evaluate physical limitations that may affect nutritional status.
• Calculate metabolic needs, including energy, protein, fluid, and other specific nutrients accurately.
• Recommend suitable nutrition interventions based on both subjective and objective data.
• Document initial and ongoing assessments of patients' nutritional status and progress through thorough chart reviews.
• Oversee the completion of diet slips three times a week for patients with special dietary needs in collaboration with the Dietary Services Manager.

Qualifications:

• Master's Degree in Nutrition or a related field.
• Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) certification in Massachusetts.
