Overview

Enterprise Security Services Corporation is seeking dependable Unarmed Security Officers to serve communities in and around Mount Airy. Where you'll work

Officers are assigned to client sites across the Mount Airy, Frederick, and Carroll County area, including retail, commercial, and community locations. Assignments are based on coverage needs, so specific worksites may vary — we value officers who demonstrate flexibility and reliability across the broader area.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a visible, dependable security presence at assigned locations
• Patrol interior and exterior areas to identify and report concerns promptly
• Monitor and control access at entrances and key points
• Provide courteous assistance to customers, staff, and visitors
• De-escalate disputes and respond calmly to disturbances
• Document daily activity and report incidents accurately
• Communicate promptly with management and emergency services as needed

Requirements

• Possess or be able to obtain Maryland security guard certification through our licensed agency under Maryland State Police requirements
• Meet Maryland's minimum age and eligibility standards for security work
• Pass a criminal background check
• Reliable transportation to assigned sites in the Mount Airy, Frederick, and surrounding areas
• Strong communication skills and situational awareness
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Prior experience in security or a related field is an asset but not required

Uniform & equipment

Class A black uniform required (must be able to obtain); equipment may be issued.

Schedule
