Job Summary:
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) registered nurses are needed for a facility location in Norwich, Connecticut. This position involves working on a specialized progressive care unit that now manages ICU overflow cases. The shift is scheduled for nights, with a 3x12-hour shift pattern, every other weekend, and as needed for holidays. The unit provides a dual level of care covering telemetry, progressive care, and intensive care, with a focus on critical cases such as strokes, respiratory failure, chest pain, and sepsis.

Job Details:

• Location: Norwich, Connecticut
• Shift: Nights (7:00 PM 7:30 AM), 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Schedule: 3x12 Night shifts with every other weekend, holiday work as needed
• Required Qualifications: Certifications in NIHSS, ACLS, BLS; 2+ years ICU experience along with PCU experience; valid professional licensure in state of Connecticut
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with telemetry, stroke center protocols, and ICU overflow management
