Service Desk Technician

Title: Service Desk Technician
Location: Baltimore, MD
Compensation: $25-26/HR
Work Requirements: US Citizen, GC Holders

Position Summary:
In this role, you will provide first-level technical support by troubleshooting hardware, software, and basic network issues while installing, configuring, and testing computers, operating systems, printers, and other IT equipment. You'll support end users through phone, email, chat, and in-person interactions, manage service desk tickets, assist with device deployments and refreshes, and help maintain inventory and system performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the first point of contact for technical support requests via phone, email, chat, and in person.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, operating system, printer, and basic network connectivity issues.
• Install, configure, test, and maintain desktops, laptops, peripherals, and standard software applications.
• Manage and resolve service desk tickets, including escalations and support for high-priority users.
• Configure devices for end users, perform hardware upgrades and replacements, and assist with system testing and software compatibility.
• Support PC refresh initiatives by maintaining equipment inventory and generating asset reports.

Qualifications:

• Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
• 1-2 years of IT support, help desk, or customer service experience.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and collaborate effectively with users and team members.
