Terraform Engineer

Job Description

One of our largest clients is seeking an experienced Terraform Engineer to join the Enterprise Data Platform (EDP) Infrastructure team. This team is responsible for building and maintaining cloud infrastructure provisioning capabilities within Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The engineer will play a critical role in managing and enhancing Terraform-based infrastructure, evaluating new GCP services, and enabling scalable self-service infrastructure solutions for internal platform users.

This is an opportunity to join a mature, enterprise-scale cloud environment where the primary focus is supporting and evolving existing infrastructure while introducing new GCP capabilities as business needs arise.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance existing Terraform infrastructure modules and configurations.

• Support the provisioning and management of GCP resources through Infrastructure as Code.

• Research and evaluate newly released GCP services.

• Determine required:

o IAM permissions

o APIs

o Terraform configurations

• Implement and enable new GCP services as business requests arise.

• Partner with platform and infrastructure teams to ensure scalable cloud solutions.

• Contribute to a stable, mature cloud environment focused on operational excellence.

Work Breakdown:

• 90% Terraform support, maintenance, and enhancements

• 10% New development and service enablement

Skills and Requirements

• 5+ years of infrastructure engineering experience.

• Strong hands-on experience with:

o Terraform

o Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

o Infrastructure provisioning within GCP

• Proven experience provisioning and enabling GCP services using Terraform.

• Deep understanding of:

o GCP services and architecture

o IAM roles and permissions

o API enablement and service configuration requirements

• Experience working within large enterprise environments.

• Recent hands-on GCP experience.

• Ability to clearly explain Terraform implementations and cloud infrastructure decisions. • GCP Certification.

• Knowledge of GCP networking concepts.

• Experience working within CI/CD pipelines and automation processes.

• Previous CVS Health experience as a contractor or employee.
