Job Title: Warehouse Worker Job Description

We are seeking motivated individuals to join our team in Belleville, assisting with warehouse operations for a prominent project. This role involves ensuring efficient movement and handling of products while maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

• Unload inbound shipments safely and move products to the correct destination.
• Stage, stack, and load merchandise efficiently in the appropriate areas.
• Move product from staging and/or unloading areas into the correct load door and the assigned trailer.
• Ensure the trailer is secured and chocked prior to entering in accordance with safety policies.
• Load/unload product correctly using appropriate handling techniques.
• Segregate, check, and stage inbound product correctly.
• Verify the driver, trailer, and bills are all for the specific carrier and location.
• Count freight with the driver and ensure all requirements are followed.
• Load the trailer for safe transit and ensure the driver signs all required paperwork.
• Perform labeling, sorting, wrapping, packing, and repacking as needed while maintaining a clean, safe work environment.
• Maintain an organized and orderly desk/office area.
• Perform other duties as assigned, such as cleaning, organizing, and sweeping the work area.
• Operate individual workstations to pack orders, validate inventory counts, print labels, communicate with drivers, and more.
• Build pallets, shrink wrap pallets, and utilize a pallet jack to organize orders once packed.

• Picking and packing experience, with proficiency in picking orders based on pick slips or customer order forms.
• Ability to utilize a computer or RF Scanners to track inventory.
• Experience in scanning products in/out when packing orders and using inventory systems.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and be prepared for standing, walking, and lifting throughout the shift.
• Must wear steel-toed boots/shoes.

• Experience with material handling, forklift operations, general labor tasks, and warehouse inventory management.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Belleville, MI.

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
