We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Lead to join our growing finance team. This position will work closely with the accounting supervisor and Controller to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the company's financial records while supporting strategic financial planning and analysis.

The ideal candidate combines strong technical accounting expertise with analytical problem-solving skills and enjoys working on a variety of business initiatives. In addition to managing core accounting responsibilities, this position will participate in cross-functional projects involving real estate, payroll, property management, process improvements, and other operational initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with the Management Team to maintain the general ledger and ensure financial transactions are accurately recorded in accordance with GAAP.
• Assist with the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and variance analysis.
• Analyze financial data and provide recommendations to support business decisions.
• Help maintain and improve internal controls, accounting processes, and financial procedures.
• Participate in special projects related to real estate, property management, payroll, and other operational initiatives.
• Provide guidance, training, and support to accounting team members, including Staff Accountants and Accounting Managers, fostering professional growth and continuous improvement.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through process enhancements and technology.
• Work independently while collaborating effectively with team members across the organization.

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-motivated with the initiative to work independently and contribute to team success.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Adobe Acrobat, RealPage, and the ability to quickly learn new software applications.
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a desire to continuously learn and grow.

Preferred

• CPA designation or CPA candidate.
• Senior-level accounting experience; however, exceptional entry-level or early-career candidates with strong academic achievement, internships, or relevant accounting experience are encouraged to apply.
• Experience with real estate or property management accounting is a plus but not required. Training will be provided.
• Experience mentoring or supervising staff, or an interest in developing others.
