Job Purpose The Packer is responsible for producing high quality powder products in the powder packaging department by following specifications listed in the work order. Handle the startup and shut down of the line and various equipment in the packaging line. Read and understand the work order and specifications to ensure correct components are used for production. Follow all SOP's and cGMP requirements. load and unload components to various equipment in the packaging line. assist in changeovers, washing and sanitization of production lines. Learn the various equipment in the line to ensure proper use. Participate in all applicable safety and food safety training and wear proper personal protective equipment as needed. Spot check product to ensure that it has proper labels, presentable packaging, proper master case label with relevant information. Maintain a clean workspace by assisting in housekeeping duties to minimize food safety risks. Able to lift 30 pounds repeatedly, 50 pounds frequently and 75 + pounds with assistance, daily.
