Facilities Manager

Position Overview We are seeking a hands‑on, self‑driven Facilities Manager with strong electrical expertise to lead all aspects of facility and maintenance operations. This role is critical to ensuring the reliability, safety, and efficiency of a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem‑solver who takes full ownership of facility performance, anticipates issues before they arise, and drives continuous improvement. This individual will lead a small maintenance team while remaining actively engaged on the production floor to support equipment uptime and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities Leadership & Operations Lead and manage all day‑to‑day facility and maintenance operations Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of maintenance technicians Partner with Production and Operations to support throughput goals and minimize downtime Promote a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement Equipment & Preventive Maintenance Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial production equipment (mechanical and electrical systems) Develop and improve preventive and predictive maintenance programs Perform root cause analysis on equipment failures and implement long‑term solutions Maintain accurate maintenance records using CMMS or similar systems Electrical & Technical Expertise Lead electrical troubleshooting and repairs (licensed electrician required) Support equipment upgrades, installations, and system modifications Ensure compliance with electrical codes and safety standards Facility & Building Management Oversee HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance Manage general facility maintenance including plumbing, lighting, compressed air, and structural repairs Coordinate and manage external vendors and contractors Safety & Compliance Ensure compliance with OSHA, environmental, and regulatory requirements Lead safety programs including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), PPE compliance, and Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) Conduct incident investigations and implement corrective actions Manage environmental programs (waste handling, stormwater, air permits) Serve as primary contact for audits, inspections, and regulatory agencies Support emergency response planning and preparedness Qualifications Licensed Electrician (Required) 5 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment Strong hands‑on experience with: Industrial equipment repair Electrical systems and troubleshooting HVAC systems General facility maintenance Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred Experience with CMMS systems and basic computer skills (Excel, email, reporting) Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred Nesco Resource offers a comprehensive benefits package for our associates, which includes a MEC (Minimum Essential Coverage) plan that encompasses Medical, Vision, Dental, 401K, and EAP (Employee Assistance Program) services.
