Job TitlePolysomnographic TechnologistDutiesIndependently prepares, calibrates, interfaces, and operates all equipment used in polysomnographic procedures.Operates polysomnographic recording instruments to obtain an electroencephalographic record of patients sleep.Prepare the patient for tests reassuring the patient, providing basic education concerning the nature of the testing, allaying fears, or misconceptions.Makes minor repairs and performs operator level maintenance to the equipment used for sleep disorders evaluation.Post calibrates all the equipment used for the polysomnographic procedure.Independently interprets data obtained from all night recording.
