Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Directly supervises all employees on their assigned shift
• Interviews, hires and trains employees; plans, assigns, and directs work; appraises performance; rewards and disciplines employees, up to and including termination of their employment; addresses complaints and resolves problems
• Ensures the proper training and development of all assigned employees for whom they are responsible for. Works with Human Resources to identify training gaps and develop appropriate training activities for employees; completes their own required training and ensures that all employees also complete their required training; utilizes My Development resources to accomplish training goals.
• Assesses employee's readiness for promotion, interviews, and identifies appropriate candidates for vacancies.
• Motivates and coaches employees through good communication and frequent performance feedback. Identifies and coordinates additional training as needed.
• Completes responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and procedures, and applicable laws.
• Ensures the safety of all employees for while they are responsible for by checking safety/ housekeeping hazards and addressing issues immediately.
• Oversees training on designated shift
• Set's goals for their shift and meets production goals daily
• Learn the Group Leader role and performs it efficiently.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/ GED required
• Minimum 2 years of previous leadership experience is desired
• Position is 12 hour night shift position

The starting salary for this position is expected to be between $51,000 to $70,000 . Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Position may also be eligible for Amcor's Management Incentive Plan/Sales Incentive Plan, which is an annual bonus program based on business and individual performance, as well as medical coverage and other health and welfare benefits.
