Retirement: Competitive retirement package to secure your future. Responsibilities Receive direction from Lab Manager, Regional Director and the Laboratory Medical Director. Work cooperatively with Administration, Physicians, Allied Health Staff, patients and residents. Perform analyses on biological specimens (e.g., blood and urine) to aid healthcare providers in diagnosis and treatment of patients. Participate in operational support activities necessary to maintain and optimize testing capabilities. This position is not eligible for sponsorship; Mayo Clinic will not sponsor or transfer a visa for this position. Also, Mayo Clinic does not participate in the F1‑STEM OPT extension program. A two‑year commitment to this position is required. Qualifications Medical Technologist (MT) – Baccalaureate Degree in Medical Technology, Medical Laboratory Science, or Clinical Laboratory Science. Or Bachelor’s degree plus Certificate in Medical Laboratory Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology as recognized by NAACLS; an HEW certificate may be substituted for the specified degree. Medical Lab Technician (MLT) – Associate’s degree from an accredited MLT program or U.S. military Medical Laboratory training program. Skills Experience working in a medical field. Moderate to advanced computer skills. Strong written and oral communication skills. Ability to prioritize work, manage time wisely, and adjust to changing work volumes and projects. Preferred: Phlebotomy skills. Willingness to travel to other MCHS locations for assignments as needed. Exemption Status Non‑exempt Compensation Detail Pay range: $31.79 – $47.71 per hour for MT and $26.52 – $39.32 per hour for MLT. Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. Schedule Full Time. Monday‑Friday, primarily day shift with occasional evening coverage, averaging 1–2 shifts per pay period. 8.5‑hour shifts scheduled; hours may vary depending on need. Weekend Schedule Every third weekend rotation with day, evening, or overnight shifts. Potential to work 8 or 12‑hour weekend shifts.
