Marketing Manager

Smart City is one of the nation's fastest-growing apartment locating companies. Founded in Texas in 2013, we've helped thousands of renters find apartments they love while growing a community of more than 1 million followers across our social media channels. Now we're bringing Smart City to Phoenix. We're looking for someone to build our local organic from the ground up. This isn't a role where you'll inherit an established audience or spend your days sitting behind a desk scheduling social posts. You'll be creating the brand people associate with apartment hunting in Phoenix. What you'll do: You'll execute local marketing for Phoenix across organic and paid social media. Every day will look a little different, but you'll spend your time: Touring apartment communities and capturing photo and video content. Creating paid and organic content for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, and emerging platforms. Planning and managing content calendars and local marketing campaigns. Writing website content, landing pages, blogs, emails, and ad copy. Building relationships with apartment communities, local businesses, creators, and influencers. Supporting recruiting and employer branding initiatives. Monitoring campaign performance and using data to improve results. Collaborating with designers, strategists, and local leadership to bring campaigns to life. This role is perfect for you if you: Love creating content and telling stories. Are the friend who's always filming. Genuinely love Phoenix and know what makes it unique. Find yourself scrolling Zillow or Apartment Finder just because it's fun. Get curious about why one Reel reached 250,000 people while another didn't. Love experimenting with trends, testing ideas, and learning what works. Enjoy writing just as much as creating video. Would rather spend your day exploring the city than sitting in back-to-back meetings. Like meeting new people and building relationships. Get excited by building something from scratch. Qualifications: 2+ years of experience in marketing, social media, content creation, or a related field. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong understanding of short-form video and social media platforms. Comfortable filming, editing, and appearing on camera. Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple projects. Equal parts creative thinker, storyteller, and problem solver. Building something new, together: Our existing social channels have over 1M followers. Phoenix starts at zero. Success won't happen overnight, and the right person knows chasing consistency is better than chasing huge numbers.
