ENT and Allergy Associates of Florida is currently seeking a Certified Medical Assistant or LPN as an Allergy Technician for a full-time, Monday- Friday 8:00-5:00 position at our office. Our practice provides comprehensive general and subspecialty ENT medical and surgical care within the convenience of one medical group. Patient care is our top concern, and because we can provide both diagnosis and rehabilitative services, our patients know they can depend on our team for all their needs.Allergy Technician Description:This is an excellent opportunity for a professional Certified Medical Assistant or LPN as an Allergy Technician who is multitask oriented, motivated, able to handle a high volume of patients, be a self-starter and willing to learn all aspects of Allergy, ENT and Audiology field.Allergy Technician Responsibilities:Interacting with patients for 20-40 minutesFollowing allergy protocolsEducating patients on allergy testing and treatmentsAnswering patient callsTaking patient historiesGiving injectionsPerforming allergy skin testsObtaining authorizationsPreparing exam roomsSterilization techniques in accordance with CDC, ENTAAF and if applicable Autoclave manufacturer requirementsAllergy Technician Requirements:Licensure/ Certification: Active LPN or Certified Medical AssistantMinimum two-years hands-on clinical experienceWilling to travel between locations as neededWorking knowledge of medical terminologyStrong written and verbal communication skills with a clear speaking voiceStrong interpersonal skillsStrong organizational skillsExhibit professionalism towards patients physicians and team membersComputer literate for EMRBilingual Spanish speaking is a plusAllergy experience is a plusBenefits for an Allergy Technician:Medical, Dental and Vision: Effective 1st of the month after 60 days of employment.Company paid STD, LTD, Life: Effective 1st of the month after 1 year of full-time employment.401(K): Effective 1st of the month after 1 year of employment.6 Paid Holidays: Effective immediately.PTO: Time earned per pay periodPhysical Demands: Coordination, manual, and physical dexterity sufficient to properly and adequately use various items of medical equipment and office equipment as required of the position or directed by the Manager. The position may involve sitting, standing, bending, and stooping. Incumbent must also be able to assist patients in transferring from wheelchair to an exam chair, when necessary. Responsibilities will also require the incumbent to travel between ENTA offices for support purposes. The incumbent must also be capable of lifting up to 25 pounds.
