Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an ICU/PCU position requiring 2 years of ICU experience and a TN or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in a hybrid ICU/PCU unit within a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule of 3x12 hours (18:30-7:00) on a 36/36 rotation
• Every other weekend (EOW) requirement
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating required
• Patient ratio of 1:2-3
• Epic charting system experience preferred

Requirements

• Active TN or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration
• Current certifications: AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Experience with IV therapy, arterial line management, central line care, and PICC line management
• Experience with ventilator care, ETT/NT suctioning, and ABG interpretation
• Experience managing continuous IV sedation, vasoactive drips, and cardiac drips
• Experience with cardiac dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Experience with IV insulin protocols and renal/AKI management
• BSN required for international travelers

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing services in a hybrid ICU/PCU environment supporting cardiovascular, medical, surgical, and trauma ICU patient populations
• Participate in nursing student support and clinical education alongside clinical care duties
• General orientation begins on Sundays and includes online computer-based learning modules
• Must reside at least 100 miles from the facility, with no local candidates accepted
• First-time travelers will be considered, though prior experience at a Level I trauma facility is preferred
• Facial hair must be trimmed or removed to meet CDC fit testing guidelines
• Drug test must be completed within 12-14 calendar days prior to start, with willingness to repeat testing if necessary
