Procurement Assistant (Remote Contract)

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Employment Type: Contract
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday
Location: Remote (Eastern Time Zone Preferred)

About the Opportunity

We are seeking a detail-oriented Procurement Assistant to support our purchasing team during a temporary leave of absence. This is a fully remote opportunity for an organized professional who enjoys administrative work, data entry, and process-driven tasks.

Training will be provided, and the ideal candidate will be comfortable working independently while maintaining a high level of accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Assign purchase order numbers to approved purchase requisitions
• Enter and maintain purchase order information in tracking spreadsheets
• Process and distribute purchase orders to internal departments and vendors
• Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation
• Update information within internal systems and online portals
• Monitor purchase order logs for completeness and accuracy
• Communicate with internal stakeholders regarding purchase order status
• Follow established purchasing and procurement procedures
• Perform general administrative support duties as needed

Qualifications

• Previous administrative, office support, data entry, or purchasing experience preferred
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook
• Ability to manage repetitive processes accurately and efficiently
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Comfortable learning new systems and procedures
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment

Work Environment

• Fully remote position
• Company equipment provided
• Training conducted virtually
• Must have reliable internet service and a dedicated workspace
