Senior AWS Cloud Security & Automation Engineer

The Planet Group

Charlotte, NC or Malvern, PA (hybrid)

Duration : 6 months plus goes long term

Candidates must be capable of operating in high-impact, high-scale environments where changes can affect thousands of production databases and systems.

Need over all 8-12 years of relevant work experience

AWS Security Engineering

IAM, KMS, Secrets Manager, SCPs (hands-on)
Multi-account AWS environment exp
Platform-level (not application-only AWS)

Infrastructure & Automation

Strong CloudFormation experience (primary IaC)
AWS Lambda + Step Functions automation
Python (senior-level coding required)

Security & Vulnerability Management

Experience with Wiz or equivalent cloud security tools
SAST / Snyk / vulnerability scanning tools
Ability to triage + remediate findings at scale

Engineering Depth

Senior-level hands-on engineer (NOT advisory)
Ability to design + implement fixes in production systems
Comfortable with high-risk enterprise environments
