Position Summary RSI is recruiting for a Sr. Records Management Specialist who plans, organizes, and aids in the creation, use, and disposition of all Legacy Management records and information. The position ensures smooth and consistent operations to satisfy internal and external customer requirements. Job Details Job Title: Sr. Records Management Specialist Location: Westminster, CO Status: Full‑Time FLSA: Non‑Exempt Hiring Range: $63,000 – $70,000 per year Travel: Less than 5% of the time Essential Duties and Responsibilities Follow appropriate procedures and manuals governing records management. Maintain records and information according to established procedures and regulations. Aid records custodians in the protection and preservation of federal records. Evaluate existing collections for suitability and efficiency of information retrieval and make recommendations. Perform record inventories and electronic records evaluations. Conduct assessments and support audits. Interface with client organizations to provide guidance on records management processes. Maintain awareness of national developments and regulations in records management. Learn current, new, and future records management technologies. Provide records management disaster response support. Protect and identify sensitive information from unauthorized disclosure. Suggest process improvements related to job duties. Assist with contracts, contractual changes, and coordination of proposals and specifications. Perform reviewing, sorting, indexing, prepping, scanning, quality control, packaging, digital conversion, and other processing of confidential documents. Digitize documents using high‑speed scanning equipment and software. Review digital indexes and captured images for accuracy and quality. Determine proper storage methods and locations based on environmental factors. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Education and Experience Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in business, library science, scientific discipline, or related field. Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. Licenses, Certifications, and Skills Valid driver’s license. Preferred: Records and Information Management certification. Understands advanced principles for managing records throughout the lifecycle. Strong problem‑solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong communication, reasoning, technical, and computer skills. Provides advice on utilization of information assets. Advises teams on information management policies and procedures. Responds to ad hoc queries within standard timelines. Contributes to development of enterprise information management policies. Customer‑service oriented professionalism. Proficient with Microsoft Office suite and SharePoint. Clearance and Health Requirements Criminal background check. Pre‑placement drug screening. Fit for duty test (if applicable). Physical Requirements Medium: Work involves moving objects by exerting 20–50 pounds of force occasionally or 10–25 pounds of force frequently, or up to 10 pounds constantly. Physical demand exceeds light work.
