Position Summary The Orthodontic Treatment Coordinator is responsible for guiding new patients through their orthodontic consultation, collecting initial records, presenting customized treatment plans, discussing financial options, navigating insurance benefits, and helping patients begin treatment with confidence. This role requires exceptional communication skills, attention to detail, multitasking, and a passion for delivering an outstanding patient experience. Responsibilities Welcome new patients and create a warm, positive first impression. Coordinate new patient consultations from start to finish. Collect initial records Educate patients and families about orthodontic treatment options, including braces and Invisalign. Review treatment recommendations alongside the orthodontist. Present financial arrangements, insurance benefits, and payment options. Help patients confidently move forward with treatment. Coordinate same-day treatment starts whenever possible. Verify insurance benefits and explain orthodontic coverage. Schedule appointments and maintain accurate patient records. Follow up with pending patients to answer questions and encourage treatment acceptance. Build relationships with referring dental offices and maintain excellent communication. Collaborate closely with clinical and administrative team members to ensure a seamless patient experience. Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations. Qualifications Previous orthodontic or dental experience preferred. Treatment coordinating experience is highly desirable. Xray certification through DANB or equivilant Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong customer service and relationship-building abilities. Comfortable discussing financial arrangements and payment options. Organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Positive attitude with a team-first mindset. Proficient with computers and dental practice management software. Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
