Responsibilities You will execute the product support strategy to synchronize programmatic goals, warfighter requirements, and DoW mission directives. You will provide authoritative direction and technical leadership to cross-functional teams executing sustainment operations. You will serve as a primary logistics authority, briefing executive leadership, program executive offices (PEOs), and operational commanders on sustainment posture and risks. You will formulate, justify, and execute the sustainment budget, ensuring optimized funding profiles for long-term product support requirements. You will manage the system's entire lifecycle, directly leading the transition from Contractor Logistics Support (CLS) to a sustained Government/Hybrid posture to secure long-term supportability. You will manage life-cycle risks and opportunities from early development and production to field, to include but not limited to, managing Training, Configuration Management, and Digital Product Support. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-03 (GS-13) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Analyzing and developing complex product support strategies; advise leadership on sustainment postures and risks and/or managing the life-cycle logistics planning of weapon systems. Education Additional Information This announcement uses the Acquisition Workforce Personnel Demonstration Project (AcqDemo) Business Management & Technical Management direct hire authority to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to certain positions in the competitive service. This position is part of the Department of Defense Civilian Acquisition Workforce Personnel Demonstration Project. The NH-4 broadband level encompasses positions equivalent to GS-14 and GS-15. This position is part of the Navy Nuclear Deterrent Mission. This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. Several vacancies may be filled. Certain incentives (such as Recruitment, Relocation or Student Loan Repayment) may be authorized to eligible selectees. A relocation incentive is generally a single payment intended to offset some of the relocation costs experienced by the selectee. A relocation incentive may be authorized. This position is subject to an initial drug screening, and random testing thereafter. A negative drug test result must be received by HR within 30 calendar days after the EOD (i.e., start date). The selectee's inability to successfully pass; or refusal to conduct the test may result in: 1) the tentative or final job offer being withdrawn during the recruitment process; or 2) subsequently being removed from Federal service for failure to meet a condition of employment.
