BWR Chemistry Systems Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled BWR Chemistry Systems Engineer to work with a team of Engineers and Chemists, supporting plant design and chemistry systems related to or affected by water chemistry. This role involves creating and updating design documentation and drawings for chemistry hardware systems, performing technical evaluations, and developing PLC programs. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of BWR water chemistry, chemistry system products, and experience in plant chemistry control programs.

Responsibilities or Duties:

Collaborate with Engineers and Chemists to design and support chemistry systems in the plant, ensuring proper water chemistry management.
Create and revise design documentation, including P&ID, assembly drawings, BOM, and electrical drawings.
Perform technical evaluations, analyses, and verifications related to BWR chemistry.
Develop, modify, and convert PLC programs using Proficy Machine Edition (different Windows versions and logic changes).
Develop human-machine interface (HMI) touchscreen applications using Wonderware software by Aveva.
Create software specifications and logic diagrams for PLC program development.
Provide expertise in BWR chemistry operational processes, including water chemistry system design and chemistry laboratory setup.
Support the INPO assessment for the development and oversight of chemistry performance indicator programs.

Skills:

Strong technical knowledge of BWR water chemistry systems and design.
Proficiency in creating and maintaining technical drawings and documentation (P&ID, BOM, electrical).
Experience with PLC program development and modifications using Proficy Machine Edition.
Proficiency in developing HMI systems using Wonderware software.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to perform technical analyses in the field of BWR chemistry.

Qualification or Education:

B.S. degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
10+ years of experience in chemistry or related fields, with a focus on BWR water chemistry.
