TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg / Tele RN in Lexington, Kentucky, 40508!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical/Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 14 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience required. License: Compact or state license required at time of submission. Certifications: BLS required. ACLS not required. EKG exam required to pass during onboarding. Must-Have: Previous experience caring for post-op surgical patients, especially in Orthopedics and Gastrointestinal surgeries. Strong attention to detail and familiarity with orthopedic equipment are essential. Description: This is a busy, fast-paced medical surgical unit. The unit cares for orthopedic, spine, general surgery, and bariatric patients. The daily patient load typically includes 10-20 post-operative admissions. Nursing requirements include both medical and surgical skillsets with BLS certification. Nurses may be required to float to other units within their skillset. Overall competency in various nursing skills and procedures is necessary, including telemetry monitoring and wound care management. The successful candidate will be expected to work weekends and specified holidays. Local travelers within 100 miles are not accepted for this position. Self-scheduling is conducted with manager's final approval. Candidates should be comfortable with high turnover rates and multiple admissions and discharges per shift. Compliance requirements include passing med/surg tele competencies and other related exams during the onboarding process. This position also involves interdisciplinary support from various medical professionals.
